For those that are interested, Kyle and I are going to try a group flight on VATSIM tomorrow (01/17/21) starting at 3PM Pacific/2 PM Alaska time. Depending on the WX, Plan A route is PAJN-PAGY-PAGS-PAJN and Plan B route is PAJN-PAPG-PAFE-PAJN. Aircraft is your choice. So feel free to join in! If you don’t have time to fly the full route, feel free to do what you can. Also for a challenge we can see who gets the smoothest landing and also the shortest! Cheers! Pappy

Wow that MSFS202 looks great!

I have never seen that one, so thanks for pointing it out to me! I believe that is the one for Alaska Airlines and since it is not for public use, that is probably why the top is cut off. The one I created is very close. Only took out LEMNN since I could not find it on Skyvector or ForeFlight after the last DAFID update. The one I built can be found under Crew Section -> Downloads -> Misc on the AKA site. It does the same thing. Just good to have something to get us in on those low vis days when scud is in the cut for Rwy 08!

Hey everyone, With winter flying in SE AK, I was looking at the Letter of Agreement version 27 for Juneau (LOA27). I know that the two major airlines each have their own proprietary RNAV approaches to both runways. The FAA does not have a published approach for Rwy 26. So the other day looking at the LOA and waypoints that are on FS Commander, I came up with an approach to Rwy 26 we can use for our ops. Not sure who to talk to about it here and if the group would like to use it. It would be a AKA only approach. So let me know what you guys think?

Hey Kyle, welcome to the club! Kyle and I go back like 15-20 years flying for different military VA’s on VATSIM. You’ll have a great time flying around SE AK and other parts too. (I know I have) Sorry I missed you today. We should plan a fly-in one of these days!

Not in many years have I flown JFK-LAS. As for Delta flying to JNU, it was going to be year around, but for some reasons it became seasonal in the summer. Love flying, fishing,and sailing up in the SE!

Flew the 737 for Delta and took an early retirement 🙂

Hey everyone! After a 5+ year break, I have some time now to get back flying on VATSIM. I started my virtual career back in 1998 on VATSIM (called SATCO then) and have since seen a lot of changes. I have done a lot of different flying on VATSIM and was very happy to find this organization! After reading about Bob Reeve and others, along with my time as a commercial pilot flying into ANC, FAI, and JNU, I am excited to try my hand at some virtual bush flying now.
